There are a ton of layers from the outer part, all the way to the inner pulp area of this. The layers of your teeth help us better understand these. Your anatomic crown is a major part of the mouth, and the role it’s able to play.
What it Is
This is basically the surface portion of the tooth itself that’s right above where the gum line is. There are different layers within this, all of which play a major part in the structure of the tooth. Just like the shell, the coating, and the middle of different foods, these layers are super easy for you to identify.
Within your tooth, there are different nerve and blood supplies within these. This is known as your pulp chamber. The pulp is basically the core, surrounded by the dentin. The pulp of course, is the vial position of the tooth, including blood vessels, nerves, and the like. If there is sensitivity that happens due to the breach from bacteria and the like, this can cause immense pain. The inflammation of your pulp area is one of the primary locations that root canals are able to treat.
How this Differs from the clinical Crown
When your doctor discusses your teeth, you might hear them talk about crown replacement. This is not the anatomic part of this. It’s usually the clinical crown, which is a fancy name for the entire structure. The anatomic crown is basically the innards, and also what’s hidden courtesy of your gum line.
As the teeth begin to come up, or they grow into their location, your anatomic crown sometimes shows up. But when your gums start to cover those portions of where the roots are, and the enamel parts of this are more visible, both the anatomic, and the clinical crowns are both very similar.
The role of this is super important. It involves the chewing parts of the teeth, and the teeth portion that your tongue touches as you try to speak. The nerves within these cores usually are going to warn the body of cold, pain, and heat changes too.

It also refers to the enamel as well that also protects the bacteria from getting inside.
Usually, when you have to get a root canal, some portion of your teeth is going to get changed. Sometimes, there is just the temporary measure of fixing up the parts of the enamel, using a crown to cover up the outer layer, but the pulp of the tooth is still intact. This is usually what happens when you’ve got a crown that’s being done, but you don’t need the full root canal treatment.
But for those who need the entire root canal process, you’re going to get the full crown treatment for everything, and also it gets treated down to the very base of this.
For a lot of people, when their dentist tells them that they need a crown or some sort of treatment, you probably have no clue what this might entail. Sometimes this requires a whole change of the tooth’s structure.

Regardless though, when you have teeth in general, you want to make sure that you take care of them. That’s why, when you’re looking to get dental treatment, you want to talk to your dentist about this, and to make sure that you’re able to get the proper protection that you need, and the treatment that’s necessary to help you have the best teeth possible.
Protect them now, munch on foods, and make sure you brush your teeth after every sugary snack when possible.
